The Chief Operating Officer develops, implements and ensures the maintenance of effective, efficient, and regulatory-compliant methods for the delivery of services within all of the Agency’s varied programs. As the inspirational leader of program management teams, the COO must be mission-focused, strategic and process-minded. The COO also must possess substantial practical, interpersonal and professional skills in order to appropriately scale the Agency’s diverse workforce and to successfully operate its programs. Finally, the COO must develop and maintain methods for the Agency to grow and expand its programs, within an operating environment that continuously ensures the fulfillment of the Agency’s mission for the ethical and compassionate provision of social services to children and families.
Prerequisites: Post-graduate degree in business administration, law, social work or healthcare management/administration is preferred. Other pertinent professional degrees will be considered when applicant has prior significant executive-level experience with organizations of similar purpose and size to the Agency. Valid NYS driver’s license required for frequent travel among Agency’s numerous operating locations.
