Mars Hill Church’s mission is to plant churches and make disciples. We have grown from a small Bible study to over 12,000 weekly attenders to a network of 14 different churches in 4 states - Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, and California.

As the overall leader, this individual is focused on incorporating the desires of the team into a vision that is implemented across all areas. The Chief Sales and Marketing Officer will not only have primary oversight of all client services roles such as account management, sales, and the customer experience; but will also give strategic oversight to all of the marketing, media relations, creative, event management, promotion, interactive web and electronic services, music, publishing products, and all campaigns and programs at Mars Hill. This is an Executive Director level position.

Marketing Operations: Manages the organizations media and industry relations, advertising, interactive programs, communications as well as market and customer research.

Advertising: Oversees conferences, trade show exhibiting, printed promotions and electronic promotions such as web sites and social media.

Branding: Ensures consistency with the organizations branding across in all media.

Alignment: Ensures that church products and services are aligned with client needs and demands.

Ideation: Direct new initiative development and ensures the continuing appeals of existing offerings.

Stewardship: Manage the departments’ budget and work with the Finance department, including anticipating

upcoming monthly expenditures.

Fundraising: Accountable for achieving local church growth objectives, setting and meeting fund raising goals.

Resources: Coordinate the distribution of resources to all clients managed by account managers (local churches,

Resurgence, MH network churches, creative content, and global development).

Communication: Leads all teams to manage brand communications, promotions, media and internal relations.

Leadership: Assists the Executive Elders by coordinating communications among all first among equals ministry leaders in MHC.

Commitment to fulfill the duties required of Mars Hill Church members as outlined in the membership covenant.

Commitment to fulfill the character qualifications of a elder as taught in the Scriptures.

Minimum of 10+ years experience in marketing and sales.

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in the area of business, marketing and sales. Master degree a plus

Non-Profit or Church experience is not required to be successful in this role.

Humble, desire to continually improve, and passion to build a world-class network of churches.

Commitment to serving Mars Hill in role for at least three years to ensure a solid foundation and consistency.

Schedule: Monday - Friday plus Sunday responsibilities

Hours: Full Time, exempt

Location: Central Offices | Seattle, WA

Vacation: Two weeks vacation, one week personal, plus one week at Christmas
