Job Summary

The CTO reports to the Vice President of Operations and is responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology development. The CTO is the company’s top technology executive, playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. The CTO serves as the company's lead technology official and has overall responsibility for the long---range direction of technological planning and development. He/she establishes, communicates and maintains corporate technology architecture for production technology systems, and ensures that the architecture can support the growing and changing needs of the business.


In partnership with the company’s executive management team, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company’s services, including identification of competitive services, opportunities for innovation, and assessment of marketplace obstacles and technical hurdles to the business success.

CTO Responsibilities Will Include But not be Limited to:
Create a DYONYX Enterprise Architecture Design to include a product definition matrix that will review and evaluate all current software and systems being used by DYONYX and create a functional matrix of capabilities and the percentage of capabilities DYONYX is currently utilizing.
Business insight – perform customer and market research to determine demand for DYONYX service offerings, analyze customer and channel usage data to assist DYONYX in identifying the right channel to target the customer and create the correct mix of products for maximum profit.
Perform market research and analysis on market direction and emerging trends. Compare this data to DYONYX’s current and planned service offerings.
Create a technology roadmap vision document that clearly articulates our technical vision and service delivery model over the next 2 – 5 years; publish and communicate to staff to ensure everyone is operating under the same understanding.
Create a technology ROI business plan with a complete financial budget, ROI and project
plan detailing our capital expenditure requirements and strategy for our data center and managed services infrastructure over the next 2 – 5 years.
Once this plan is approved, audit our pricing model to identify if we are charging enough for our Managed Services and if not, make the necessary changes.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to integrate CRM / operational / back-office systems (Cherwell/Dynamics/At Task/ etc.). Help identify ways to save money through automation and use of existing tools and negate unnecessary spending.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to accelerate “time to revenue” and increase the operational efficiency of our cloud offerings.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will give us the flexibility to rapidly create and
manage new and existing service offerings and sell them to the right mix of customers through the right channels for maximum profitability.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will help DYONYX standardize and efficiently deliver a core set of services that will allow us to focus our efforts on driving volume and creating differentiated services.
Perform market research on the possibility of DYONYX creating a distributor / VAR market model. Evaluate potential distributor models and value-added resellers interested in offering cloud services. Evaluate technology(s) that would allow DYONYX to create and manage a multitier channel hierarchy with ease, reach into new markets and help partners and resellers rent and resell capacity from us.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to deliver portals for customer life-cycle management, service plan management and multitier reseller hierarchy management. This will include but not be limited to automated provisioning, metering and decommissioning of services to efficiently scale our offerings to reach a large customer base with minimal additional investments in people or training.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to perform usage-based billing.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to create infrastructure deployment blueprints, and step-by-step build-out plans that reduce time to implementation and eliminates configuration errors.
Evaluate and implement technology(s) that will allow DYONYX to implement a multi- tenant customer life-cycle management web-based portal for managing both customer and partner life cycles. Examples may include signing up customers / partners through a portal and managing customer life cycles from trial flows to provisioning and decommissioning. Enable partners to easily sign up and sell products to new and existing customers through a partner-facing portal.
Participate in the current DYONYX FEDRAMP initiative that will ultimately direct development and execution of an enterprise---wide information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and servers.
Work closely with DYONYX’s infrastructure and operations department for collaboration on all activities listed above, including system testing.
Provide guidance, training and data input to Sales and Marketing on how to best position
DYONYX as a market leader in the MSP space.
Attend industry conferences as both an attendee and speaker.
Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.

Formal Education & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science, or a Master's Certificate Program equivalent that focuses on IT Service Management, ROI and Business Analysis that must be achieved within two years of accepting position.
