Associates degree (or equivalent of two years full-time college coursework) in child development, early childhood education, or closely related field.
Knowledge of infant, child, and adolescent growth and development.
Current experience working with infants, children, and/or adolescents.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to plan and facilitate individual and group play and recreational activities. Ability to supervise group interactions.
Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely and organized manner.
Work collaboratively and in a positive manner with others.

Assist in providing supportive services to promote the development, maintenance and expression of an appropriate leisure/play and social lifestyle for pediatric patients. Support services are designed to improve the patient’s emotional, cognitive, social, and physical/functional growth and development. Provide developmental stimulation, therapeutic play and activities, and family support to help reduce stress, increase adaptive coping, and enhance developmental growth. Responsible for assisting with inpatient and/or outpatient areas, as deemed appropriate.
