Provides child care and instruction in a child care center for children from six weeks old to preschool age. Provides input in planning and preparing developmentally appropriate activities including art, music, and physical activities. Implements activity plans; monitors, observes, and interacts with children. Cares for the physical needs of children including feeding, diapering, toileting, dressing, and administering medications. Supervises field trips. Communicates with parents both in oral and written form concerning needs, progress, and behavior of children. Maintains attendance, meal, and activity records. Assures a safe environment. Designs bulletin boards and other displays. Assists with food preparation, service and cleanup. Supervises student assistants. May perform custodial duties, and other duties needed or assignned. Experience with school age children preferred.
1.Some knowledge of normal development of children from six weeks to preschool age.
2.Understanding of the methods used to teach preschool children basic skills.

7.Detailed work and organizational skills.
8.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
9.Ability to stand, sit, stoop, squat, run and climb stairs for duration of shift.
10.Ability to perform the essential duties and responsbilities with efficiency and accuracy.
