Job Summary: Teach Preschool children (ages3-4 years) in an early care and education setting; Ensure monthly curriculum contains detailed lesson plans outlining specific activities which meet the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of children; Possess understanding of the developmental stages of Early Childhood to assess each child in the following areas: emotional, social, physical, and cognitive; Share in the implementation of daily activities based on the children ’s individual assessments, and oversee classroom activities interacting directly with groups and individuals. Requirements: This position is in our new state-of-the-art Sandpipers Early Learning Center which is licensed by the Bright Star 4-star rated program and accredited through the Council on Accreditation (COA); Must meet all state licensing regulations and requirements, and physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds; Teacher position requires a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with Rhode Island teacher certification and experience in a licensed child care setting, Rhode Island Early Learning Standard Level II, a plus; Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
