Based on a national model, Help Me Grow Alameda County (HMG) is a countywide system to promote the development, learning and social-emotional health of children ages birth to 5. We partner with families and providers to meet children's developmental needs so they can get the best start in life.
The Help Me Grow Linkage Line is the entry point for the HMG system. By calling the Linkage Line, providers and families receive assistance with assessing and understanding children's development, and identification of and linkage to appropriate services and supports.
The Child Development Care Coordinator serves as the primary staff to the Help Me Grow (HMG) Linkage Line and is responsible for connecting with, providing information to, and linking families to services and community resources that will support and/or enhance their child(ren)'s development.
This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Help Me Grow Services Program Coordinator.
Bachelor degree in child development, social work, counseling, psychology, early care or special education, or related field PLUS Three years experience working with children (birth to 5 years old) and their families including one year providing clinical assessment and/or consultation to at-risk families or providers who serve at-risk families. Ability to speak Spanish required.
Salary: $50,731 ($24.39/hour) to start, plus excellent benefits
