Under general supervision performs difficult and responsible typing and office work calling for individual judgment, initiative, and specialized knowledge in carrying out established procedures or applying laws or regulations; and performs related work as required.
Success Factors (KSA's):
1.Assists the department head in routine office administration.
2.Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others.
3.Types statistical or financial reports, correspondence, requisitions, etc., and other material requiring speed, accuracy, and neatness.
4.Maintains a variety of complex records and files.
5.Composes letters and memoranda from general instructions.
6.Compiles difficult or complex data.
7.Gives information regarding departmental policies and regulations of varying complexity.
8.Operates a variety of office machines.
9.Interviews callers and makes appointments.
10.Maintains records and prepares reports.
11.Performs related work as required.
Job Requirements, Education, Training & Experience:
1.Considerable knowledge of modern office methods and practices.
2.Considerable knowledge of departmental programs, operation, and policy.
3.Considerable knowledge of commercial arithmetic, business English, and spelling.
4.Ability to type neatly and correctly from plain copy, corrected manuscripts, rough draft, and tabular material at a rate of forty net words per minute.
5.Ability to perform varied and difficult clerical tasks.
6.Ability to supervise the work of others.
7.Ability to operate a variety of office machines.
8.Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relationships.
9.Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and prepare clear and detailed reports.
Essential Job Functions (physical elements, equipment and working conditions):
1.Graduation from high school, including or supplemented by, a course in typing, and related commercial courses.
2.Three (3) or more years of responsible office work experience
