Work with semiconductor development organization to create technology solutions for Qualcomms embedded CPUs. Analyze candidate devices for dynamic and static power characteristics versus corresponding circuit delay performance. Develop technology solutions for future application processor cores to enable industry leading power and performance in the mobile compute space. Work with CPU circuit designers to survey critical timing paths for key elements: arithmetic circuits, register files, high performance standard cells. Work with CPU cache designers
to develop circuit and technology solutions for L1, L2, and L3 arrays. Collaborate with power delivery network engineers and thermal engineers to ensure consistency and compatibility on strategic solutions.
A minimum of 10 years experience on CPU circuit design work with a focus on technology
Work with executive team to assess and recommend technology solutions for emerging CPU products to ensure competitive advantage in the mobile space.
Expertise with scripting languages (Perl C Skill) is preferred.

Experience working with advanced semiconductor process development teams (32nm node experience is preferred)
Expertise with industry standard circuit design tools: Cadence Composer/Virtuoso, HSpice/Spectre, Extraction tools, Verilog, circuit verification (boolean equivalence tools).
Minimum: MSEE focus on circuit design or process engineering
Preferred: PhD circuit design with emphasis on applying emerging process technology (FIN FETs).
