SourceMedia is seeking a candidate for the inside sales circulation team in the role of a Team Leader. The candidate will be extremely well organized, have exceptional communication skills, be a quick learner, and a strategic and creative thinker. In the role of Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for managing a small territory for personal production as well as manage a group of sales people in cultivating new business and retaining and growing current business. The candidate must also have the ability to think and execute independently and collaborate in a team atmosphere. The Circulation Sales Team Leader will collaborate regularly with the Circulation Marketing Team so the need to be creative and strategic is a must.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in managing and directing a highly skilled, successful and results-oriented sales team
  • Strong leadership qualities with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a self-motivated sales leader with B2B experience
  • Able to operate in a changing market environment
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Must have the ability to work independently on a sales territory and also work in a team setting
  • Must be able to multi-task in a high paced environment
  • Experience with digital media a plus but not necessary
Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with the Executive Director of Inside Sales and the Circulation Marketing Manager to achieve overall department goals
  • Set daily, weekly and monthly goals with individual sales team members to achieve overall company goals
  • Coach, counsel, advise, support and motivate a sales team in order to get them to meet team objectives
  • Supervise the team and sales floor to ensure operations are functioning smoothly
  • Conduct weekly sales meetings to develop and train the sales force
  • Constructively handle all customer complaints related to your department
  • Maintain self-development to improve your own sales skills, managerial skills, business skills, and product knowledge
  • Assist sales team in the sales process as needed to “close the deal”
