We have an exciting opportunity available for a Cisco IPT/IPCC Telecommunications and Network Support Analyst to join our team to perform ongoing moves, adds and changes (MAC), and report generation.
The VoIP and Network support role is to coordinate strategies for defining, deploying, and maintaining the company's in-house IP telephony voice communication architecture and its associated network connections and component hardware. This includes managing all engineering projects for VoIP initiatives, planning technology roadmaps, and configuring and optimizing all VoIP/IP-PBX telephone systems and services. The network support role is to ensure the stability and integrity of in-house data and wireless network services. This is achieved by planning, designing and developing local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) across the organization. In addition, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skill and excellent customer-focused service as you perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex telecommunications problems for a variety of end users.
As our Telecommunications and Network Support Analyst based in Jersey City, NJ, your main mission will be to support our telecommunications and Network needs-manage circuits, handle phone installation for new hires, take support calls, trouble shoot issues presented by internal customers, and manage interaction with vendors. Your time management, organizational skills and ability to document processes and procedures will also be an asset as you perform site tech duties such as installing VoIP phones, handling equipment requests, and responding to tickets and alerts. Your "can do" attitude and ability to jump in to solve problems (not just oversee their resolution) will be critical to your success. Experience with network and call recording, specifically Witness/Verint, is also a plus. Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of telecommunications or computer science and/or 5 or more year equivalent work experience.
: Certifications CCNA and CCNP. CCVP certification is a plus
: Integrate IP telephony systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs, and other Internet-based services and protocols.
: Working technical knowledge of Cisco VoIP/IP telephony systems, software, and hardware.
: Strong hands-on knowledge of the configuration and optimization of Cisco VoIP equipment.
: Strong hands-on knowledge of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, protocols.
: Strong understanding VoIP QoS issues and mitigation strategies.
: Direct experience with Cisco switches and routers.
: Familiar with network topologies such as EVPN, ATM, ISDN, etc.
: Knowledge of cabling and wiring systems, design, and installation.
: Ability to operate tools, components, peripherals, and testing accessories.

Note: 40-hour on-site work week with on-call availability for 1 week per month or more depending on staff availability. Weekend and shift work required to meet 24x7 production schedules.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Math/Engineering or equivalent
- Min 5 years of hands-on experience in design, implementation and support of voice and data networks
- Cisco Call Manager, IPCC Enterprise, VoIP technology, Unity, Unified Messaging and Mobility Manager
- Experience configuring call types, labels, variables and VRU scripts in the Cisco ICM
- Create and modify the ICM routing and administration scripts
- Understand and work on fault tolerant interconnectivity and resilience systems and scripts
- Certifications a plus (CCNA-Voice, CCNP-Voice, etc.)
- CCVP preferred
