Eventbrite is the self service ticketing company that helps event attendees discover interesting things to do, and helps event organizers plan, promote and sell out any event. As the New York Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for growing the Eventbrite community in New York through strategies and activities around three key marketing disciplines: user acquisition, user retention and brand awareness. Working out of New York City (out of your home office or favorite coffee shop!), you'll lead Eventbrite’s success in the NYC area.
Represent! Be the face of Eventbrite in your community by attending events, being a resource to existing customers and raising the profile of Eventbrite in your market.
Be a self starter. It takes a special type of motivation and drive to work alone in market successfully and operate on an untraditional work schedule (this is so not a typical 9-5 workday job).
Share. Create a weekly newsletter featuring the best there is to do in New York City.
Say it out loud. Oversee local social media accounts.
Be a marketing maven. Explore new opportunities and reach out to the community to find new and exciting event-holders and partners.
Throw parties. Conceptualize, negotiate, plan, hype and pull together cool, fun and buzz-worthy events to keep Eventbrite top of mind with organizers and event attendees.
Connect/relate to a variety of people. Our platform is used for events that range from tech conferences to concerts to seminars, so our organizers run the gamut! You’ll get to meet really interesting people that have a shared passion for really fantastic events.
Excellent communication. Both written and verbal prowess.
Make-it-happen spirit. Unbounded energy and drive, you’re the first one to arrive, and usually the last to leave. Never take no for an answer.
A knack for marketing. You understand how to engage via social media, what the term user acquisition means - and have created plans to rock both.
Event planning. An unbridled passion for throwing awesome events.
A measurement freak. We measure everything we do to ensure we’re doubling down on what works, and pivoting where things aren’t working. Strong measurement is the key indicator of which direction we go.
A team player. Goes without saying in this day, but this person will operate on a team of 5 other local city US marketers, and needs to know how to share learnings and collaborate with this badass group.
At least 2 years living or working in New York City. You know all the best spots, the ins and outs of the city, and all the secret handshakes.
Being a social connector and influencer. You likely have a lot of Facebook friends and people turn to you when they’re looking for ideas of what to do that weekend.
Bachelor's or Master's from an accredited university.
2-5 years of postgraduate professional experience - preferably in marketing or closely related field.
