This position can be filled with the hired candidate working in either the Dallas or Ft. Worth, TX office. Qualifications require a Licensed Professional Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in land development (i.e. residential, commercial, retail & industrial type projects) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Experience with multi-family and senior housing would provide immediate benefit. Responsibilities of a Project Engineer and some project management duties including land planning, site design, feasibility / cost opinions, final civil construction plan design, bid / contract document preparation and limited construction administration. Will coordinate the work of a small team of engineers / technicians between Houston, Ft. Worth, or Dallas office. Good communication skills required for interaction with clients & municipalities. Must be strong in drainage design (i.e. storm drainage system, detention / retention design, stormwater quality design). Software skills including AutoCAD 2012, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), drainage software (Hydraflow, Houston StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Culvert Flowmaster). Microstation experience a plus, but not required.
