Job Description: The Claim Processing Supervisor gives direction to/has oversight of the daily functions of the processors and all adjudication work units. Direct supervisor of processor staff/personnel.

Effective December 9, 2013 LVHN will begin testing all newly hired employees for nicotine and nicotine metabolites at the time of the pre-placement physical assessment to verify their response to the nicotine use question in the pre-placement medical form. The use of nicotine is not an automatic disqualifier of employment with LVHN.

Minimum Requirements: Five to seven years prior experience processing claims. Direct supervisory experience of at least 3 years. Insurance or claims administration required. Knowledge of HIPAA, DOL, ERISA and self-funding required. Prior TPA/Insurance experience of at least 5 years. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills. Staff analysis required on an ongoing basis, Bachelor’s degree/ Experience Commensurate, High degree of professional judgment and inter-personal skills at all levels and among all disciplines. Requires the individual to work independently, requiring minimal supervision. Must possess good communication skills, both oral and written, and decision making skills. Must possess the initiative to identify and carry out responsibilities to their completion

Influenza vaccination will be required for all personnel working within LVHN, who have patient contact, unless medically contraindicated or due to a bonafide religious belief or practice.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience handling subrogation, appeals and subpoena requests.
