Position Summary:
Responsible for the processing and collection of claim receivables, including reviewing applicable treaty data to confirm transactions comply with set guidelines. Also responsible for the preparation of certain management reports and analysis of operational results.

Major Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
: Create and process claim receivables in accordance with established procedures and processes and in compliance with applicable client treaties.

: Extensive review of client treaties in order to ensure proper reporting and processing of claims.

: Prepare management reports and perform analysis to assist in tracking of operational metrics.

: Drive continuous improvement in operational controls and reporting.

: Analyze impact of client issues and corrections for assigned clients.

: Learn and develop proficiency with new processing systems.

: Balance and organize completion of workload based on multiple priorities

: Work cooperatively and collaboratively with a team of analysts to ensure processing is completed accurately and in accordance with established timelines.

: Identify data reporting problems and work with Management and Data Quality to resolve issues with data received from clients.

: Identify and drive implementation of process improvements in order to increase operational efficiency.

: Participate in special assignments and projects as requested, incorporate operational familiarity into project activities.

: May perform other duties as required.

Experience and Education (Minimum Requirements):
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience.

: Advanced PC spreadsheet skills in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel & Access. Knowledge of excel to include extensive use of pivot tables and vlookups. Extensive use of Access or exposure to SQL Server/Oracle, preferred.

: Business acumen with the ability to recognize implications of business decisions and strategy, preferred.

: Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, updating ledger accounts, reconciliation's & accounts payable and receivable processes.

: Excellent creative problem solving and decision-making skills, preferred.

: Ensure timely collections from retrocessionaires

: Insurance/reinsurance accounting experience a plus.

: 2+ years in Life Insurance/Financial Services with administration experience.

: Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed analysis to determine overall trends and related drivers.

: Must be extremely detail oriented & effective in production-oriented environment.

: Exceptional customer orientation skills.

: Ability to work independently & as an integral member of a team.

: Strong oral & written communication skills.

: Strong results orientation & organizational, follow-up, & follow-through skills.
