Frontline leader managing a team of remote field claims representatives. Drive the performance and results of individual team members and the overall team through effective coaching, mentoring and technical expertise. Responsible to identify and close gaps in skill sets through the development and execution of formal and informal training programs.

*Preferred candidate location: Boston, MA, Phoenix, AZ or Akron, OH.

Duties and Responsibilities: *
  • Daily oversight and regular in-person observation and assessment of field team to ensure consistent application of standard claims processes *
  • Assisting field representatives in negotiations with public adjusters and contractors *
  • Train field team on appropriate inspection techniques, customer service, negotiation skills and technical resources (Xactimate, etc.) *
  • Analyze claims process data to ensure productivity, service and technical accuracy standards are met *
  • Regularly review claims files to assess employee performance and drive consistent claims handling. Provide required feedback and coaching to drive improved performance when necessary *
  • Assist in bringing escalated issues to closure through effective negotiation, communication and problem solving *
  • Uphold Homesite's commitment to deliver the highest level of customer service results *
  • Develop skills, improve performance, and encourage professional growth through effective training, coaching, and feedback *
  • Motivate, influence and inspire team members to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in achieving individual and organizational goals *
  • Attract and retain talent through effective recruiting and recognition programs *
  • Identify departmental claims, systems and process training gaps *
  • Develop and implement individual and department wide training activities *
  • Responsible for oversight of continuing education requirements for department
Work Environment: *
  • Fast paced claims environment with frequent customer contact *
  • Frequent travel to include regular on site ride alongs and possible CAT assignments *
  • Ability to lead a team of remote field representatives *
  • Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver effective performance management *
    • Extraordinary Judgment, Problem Solving and Decision Making *
    • Leadership, Coaching and Development *
    • Ability to effectively motivate staff to achieve all individual, team and organization goals *
    • Excellent business writing skills *
    • Planning/Organization/Multi-tasking *
    • 5 years minimum property claims adjusting *
    • Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required *
    • Excellent training and development skills
Preferred Skills and Experiences: *
  • Management experience preferred but not required *
  • Xactimate or other claim estimating platforms *
  • Insurance designation (CPCU, AIC, ARM)
Education Requirements: *
  • Bachelors degree with related claims experience
