Monitor claims activities and results; facilitate the resolution of claims on assigned accounts by acting as a liaison between clients and insurance carriers.
Consult with clients in the overall management of claim program goals and objectives, and positively impact overall results. Ensure the parties involved meet obligations timely and accurately.
Participate with other Lockton associates in formal presentations to prospective and current clients.
Coordinate and schedule meetings on clients' claims programs.
Develop service plans for the policy year for each client.
Coordinate and attend claim reviews routinely and upon request. Present narrative information to client's decision makers. Initiate follow-up meetings with responsible parties.
Coordinate and participate in claim audits. Develop audit sheets, summarize findings and calculations with written reports, and lead wrap-up meetings at the conclusion of audits.
Review loss history and provide verbal and/or written recommendations.
Follow and assist in the development of claim handling procedures for clients.
Influence insurance adjusters to take action to ensure appropriate reserve levels and effective resolution.
Assist in the development of Requests for Proposal.
Demonstrate clear understanding of coverage and legal issues, and possess the ability to utilize these skills in order to influence the outcome of claim issues.
Provide the highest level of service possible to all customers, internal and external. Fully support Lockton's business strategies and the goals and initiatives set for the Claims Department.
Utilize public speaking skills to effectively participate in formal presentations to prospective and current clients with other Lockton associates, speaking clearly, concisely, and with authority.
Embrace change and growth by enhancing skill sets and abilities. Contribute to this change by communicating strategies and ideas to other team members, listening and evaluating other points of view, and reaching consensus on issues that are not resolved by unanimous support.

A minimum of five years' claims handling experience preferred involving a wide range of commercial property and casualty coverages.
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field or equivalent education and/or experience required.
Experience working with national accounts desired.
Proven experience in the evaluation of the accuracy of property and casualty claim reserving practices.
Proficiency in the evaluation, interpretation, and communication to the client of property and casualty insurance coverage.
Workers' Compensation experience preferred.
Must have the ability to negotiate with all parties involved in the claim management process and effectively influence positive outcomes.
Must have the ability to analyze and interpret financial information and data to facilitate decision making.
Proficiency in the use of Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred.
Must have above-average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with associates at all levels of responsibility, along with the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
Must have the demonstrated ability to instill confidence and comfort with clients.
Strong attention to detail required.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines required.
Must have the ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and stay more than one day and night.
