ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

In this position, you will play a key role following-up on information needed for initial and continuation claims. Additionally, you will provide quality customer service to our policy holders, their representatives and providers meanwhile assisting Care Managers and Care Coordinators as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Review internal databases to complete accurate and timely follow-up on pending and inactive claims.
·
Contact the insured, insured’s representative or provider to follow-up on information needed to process the benefit inquiry.
·
Keep clear and concise documentation of all claim activity within the internal databases.
·
Meet quality and production metrics as established and communicated by the department.
·
Process requests from the client or from other departmental areas within Univita.

High School diploma, equivalent formal training program required or 2+ years experience in the health or life insurance industry
·
1+ years work experience in a claims environment
·
Previous experience in health, long-term care or disability preferred
·
Proficient with MS Office products including Word and Excel
·
Knowledge of long-term care service delivery systems and a familiarity with the aging process and medical problems of the elderly
·
Flexibility to adjust to fluctuating work flows and changing assignments
·
Organized, detail-oriented, creative problem-solver and an independent worker
·
Ability to meet predetermined deadlines
