Supervise claims adjusters processing claims for a single product lines. Monitor adjuster workload, provide training, and monitor individual claim activities. Provides technical direction to adjuster regarding claims adjudication and escalates complex or high exposure claims.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervises claims adjusters processing claims for a single product line.
  • Identifies and advises management of trends, problems, and issues as well as recommended course of action; informs management of new procedures and ideas for continuous process improvement; and coordinates with management projects for the office.
  • Provides technical/jurisdictional direction to adjusters.
  • Compiles reviews and analyzes management reports and takes appropriate action.
  • Performs quality review on claims in compliance with audit requirements and quality standards.
  • Reviews reserve amounts on high cost claims and claims over the authority of the individual adjuster.
  • Maintains contact with the client on claims and promotes a professional client relationship.
  • Ensures claims files are coded correctly and adequate documentation is made by claims adjusters.
  • Maintains a quality assurance process to ensure claims processing.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Multi-line auto insurance claims handling.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising no fault processes and applicable case law.
  • Demonstrated experience working with defense attorneys in the area of litigated inventory
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer and external third party relationships.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills in the areas of verbal, written, presentation delivery and conflict resolution.
  • Demonstrated experiences in a production environment where time management, work load prioritization, case management, recordkeeping and documentation, accountability and follow up are key priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in an automated claims processing work environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in roles that require strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a compliance and regulatory environment.
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish is a plus
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • AIC, SCLA and CPCU designations are preferred
