Frontline leader managing a team of professional homeowner liability claims representatives and handling a small pending of liability claims. Drive the performance and results of individual team members and the overall team through effective coaching, mentoring and technical expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities: *
  • Analyze claims process data to ensure productivity, service and technical accuracy standards are met *
  • Regularly review claims files to drive consistent claims handling *
  • Establish and authorizes reserves and claims payments within delegated authority. *
  • Assist in bringing escalated issues to closure through effective negotiation, communication and problem solving *
  • Handle a limited number of claims *
  • Uphold Homesite's commitment to deliver the highest level of customer service results *
  • Develop skills, improve performance, and encourage professional growth through effective training, coaching, and feedback *
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary *
  • Motivate, influence and inspire team members to maintain a high level of integrity and professionalism in achieving individual and organizational goals *
  • Attract and retain talent through effective recruiting and recognition programs. *
  • Schedule and facilitate large Loss meetings. *
  • Assist in collecting claims data relative to liability claims. *
  • Special projects as needed *
  • Extraordinary Judgment, Problem Solving and Decision Making *
  • Leadership, Coaching and Development *
  • Planning/Organization/Multi-tasking *
  • Excellent business writing skills *
  • 7 years minimum Liability claims adjusting *
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience *
  • Ability to obtain appropriate licenses as required *
  • Must be able to obtain required state licenses
Preferred Skills and Experiences: *
  • Insurance designation (CPCU, AIC, ARM) *
  • Analytical skills necessary to make decisions/resolve conflicts such as application of coverage to submitted claims, application of laws of jurisdiction to investigation facts, application of policy exclusions and exceptions. *
  • Organizational skills to effectively prioritize work *
  • Command of written/verbal communication skills for contact and/or negotiations with policyholders, claimants, contractors, attorneys and the public in general. *
  • Ability to operate a laptop computer and related software
Education Requirements: *
  • College degree
