This position works under limited supervision in performing a variety of complex administrative activities and clerical/HR support for senior staff members and administrators. Duties include, but are not limited to, payroll functions; appointments with faculty; employee orientation; student workers; key management/facilities access; records management/maintenance; classroom schedules/reports; collecting, maintaining and distributing syllabi and dean’s list; facilitating curriculum/enrollment requests and reports; serving on standing and ad hoc committees; assisting with administrative functions for annual/special events and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High school diploma plus four years progressively responsible office experience, including direct experience in office coordination (i.e. prioritizing work assignments, maintaining work flow to meet deadlines) required; equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty and staff necessary. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation and ability to utilize proper standard office source manuals and compose correspondence essential. Experience operating standard office equipment (i.e. copier, fax, etc.) required. Proficiency with word processing, database and spreadsheet software necessary. Must be able to work effectively under pressure and multi-task/prioritize responsibilities.
Experience in clerical accounting/bookkeeping preferred.
