Provost Academy Colorado, an online charter high school based in Denver, Colorado, is accepting applications for a part-time Clerical Support Specialist. The work-week is 4 hours per day, 5 days per week, and is a year-round position. Our offices are in the Denver Tech Center. The position will start in January 2013.

This position supports the Registrar with the daily operational activities managing the flow of information within the school and responsible for maintaining school records and other confidential information. This is a year-round part-time position.
Process handoffs from Enrollment Service Center, entering information into eSchoolware, Infinite Campus, Global Scholar Performance Series, and Alpine Achievement Systems;
Notify Advisors of student assignment:
Assist Registrar in maintaining a variety of files, documents and student records for the purpose of documenting and/or providing reliable information to staff
Assist in processing transcript requests from students, parents, colleges/universities, other districts, and/or employment agencies for the purpose of providing requested information
Monitor, update, and verify accuracy of information within school’s databases
Serve as back up to Receptionist, providing relief for breaks, lunch and/or meetings
Assist with overflow of walk-ins, providing information regarding available programs
Provide support in maintaining student attendance data and attendance reporting.
Provide internal and external SIS reporting
Provide support in producing student records and grading reporting
Provide assistance in fulfilling data requests for grant management efforts
Provide assistance with the new school year process as needed

High school diploma; Some college preferred
Experience performing clerical tasks such as data entry, file system maintenance and management, and scheduling in a busy environment where multi-tasking is demanded
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point
Use of variety of communication tools including email, instant messaging, online document storage, online calendars and social media preferred
Maintain confidentiality as required by the school as well as state and federal laws
Experience in K-12 setting preferred
