Position Purpose
Sorts incoming, outgoing, and campus mail. Responsible for on-campus pickup and delivery of all classes of mail. Responsible for pickup and delivery of mail to the United States Post Office. Meters, accounts, and weighs all classes of outgoing mail. Cleans vehicles and work areas. Processes bulk/campus mailings in an efficient and economical manner with proper usage of postal software, printers, copier, and equipment.

Education & Formal Training
High school diploma or equivalent

Other Education & Formal Training

Computer Skills

Previous mail experience preferred.
Bulk mail experience preferred.
Knowledge of postal regulations preferred.

Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:
Driver's license, Missouri license required

Good driving record.
Ability to work with little supervision.

Ability to memorize names and locations of faculty, staff, graduate assistants, and student employees and keep up with the constant changes.
Knowledge of Postal regulations and postage rates and ability to learn and retain changes to those regulations and rates.
Knowledge of best mailing procedures.
Ability to determine the proper class of mail and the most economical way to send it.
Ability to account for express, certified, registered and insured mail and make sure it is signed for.
Ability to have rapport with campus employees and students.
