The Georgia Department of Driver Services, Regulatory Compliance Division is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Clerk within its CDL unit. Under immediate supervision, the incumbent will be responsible for all facets of the initial and ongoing certification requirements of Commercial Vehicle Driver Training School Owners and Instructors, as well as State CDL Examiners and Third Party CDL Examiners throughout the State of Georgia; including but not limited to; the review and processing of the application and supporting documents. Will be expected to interpret and maintain knowledge of amendments to state, federal and other regulations. Responsible for compiling various monthly and quarterly reports. Will be responsible for entering Passing or failing test scores on a customers record when sent in from a Third Party Examiner. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the CDL database.
The incumbent will also be responsible for responding to management and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner. The incumbent will be expected to maintain a positive attitude and be receptive to change in a fast-paced environment. The incumbent will be expected to develop strong partnerships between the Division and its internal and external business partners. The incumbent must be able to work a 5 day work week.
