Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of continuous clerical experience. At least 1 year of proven experience working in an office environment. Experience with MS Office and office equipment such as faxes, copiers, microfiche and computers. Knowledge of Vital Records documents and handling of highly confidential materials.

Responsibilities:
Duties may include but are not limited to processing mail; in-person requests for vital records for the public and governmental agencies; correcting and amending records; entering request information into vital records systems; typing correspondence, forms, etc., which may include typing confidential materials and using word processing equipment; answering the telephone, which may include taking and relaying messages and responding to phone inquiries; performing mail room duties including sorting, routing and troubleshooting; performing searches of documents using computer and media equipment. Other related duties as assigned.
