The Marketing Solutions Group - a dynamic agency-oriented environment - partners with internal clients (publishers and sales people) on two fronts: (1) To prospect for new client engagements, and (2)To create client-specific integrated multi-media solutions, to address client-specific business needs.
The Client Manager is primarily responsible for item 2 above: Specifically to develop and bring-to-market client-specific integrated multi-media solutions. To do this, the Client Manager draws on a diverse range of proprietary media assets including, and not limited to:
*Proprietary audience: SourceMedia, via its digital and print publications, is the leading publisher in financial services, and has the industry’s leading audience database, representing more than 2 million senior-level business decision makers in the financial and technology information sectors.
*Marketing solutions: Includes print (e.g. white papers, magazines, supplements, industry journals), and digital products (e.g. websites, e-books, Web seminars, e-Newsletters, video casts)
*Proprietary research products: Includes qualitative (e.g. in-depth executive interviews) and quantitative research studies (e.g. surveys, syndicated studies).
*The Client Manager is also responsible for tracking and measuring the performance of the multi-media solutions.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
*Establish and build direct relationships with SourceMedia’s clients, essential for successful project management.
*Through on-going management of client engagements, and an eye for identifying cross-sell and up-sell sales opportunities, and partnering with internal clients to assist in securing these add-on sales.
Creation of Integrated Multi-Media Solutions: In partnership with V.P., Client Development, identify the appropriate blend of proprietary media assets, to address client specific business needs.
-Project Manage these solutions from development through to in-market execution, and as well performance tracking and measurement.
-Identify and manage resourcing and timelines for projects.
-Negotiate work items, timeline between technical teams and business.
-Manage projects to expense budgets.
Technical/Digital Media Implementation:
-Collaborate with developers, freelance editors, creative services, marketing teams, agencies, digital experts, third party providers to negotiate work items
-Design and develop content/media rich applications and assets
-Ensure overall quality and implementation of technical/digital media assets
-Perform multiple levels of testing for the various phases of the project
-Manage web content systems and digital production across various platforms
-Build a social media presence – SEO, SEM, social network marketing -within client programs, as required
-Produce and deploy audience engagement campaigns to acquire contacts, including in-house CRM systems (may include Exact Target and or other systems) campaigns.
-Contribute to overall Group’s goal to create best-in-class program solutions. Templatize for scalability and roll-out.
Project Performance Measurement:
-Identify appropriate KPIs for each project.
-Install project tracking mechanisms and reporting systems.
-On-going tracking and measurement.
-Post-program evaluation and recommendation.
Requirements: Required Qualifications and Skills:
-Minimum 10 years in client facing marketing roles in financial and/or technology information verticals.
- (Preferred) 5 years in Direct Response B-2-B marketing in digital and print environments.
Client Development Skills:
-Personable, self-motivated , entrepreneurial spirit
-Collaborate, works well in cross-matrix environments
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Confident to work at all vertical levels within SourceMedia, and as well with clients
Project Management Skills:
-Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
-Outstanding ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and with cross-functional teams from web development, creative services, marketing and business leaders
-Ability to manage projects on time and within budget
-Marketing involvement with digital (microsites, online media production, email/lead gen marketing and web analytics) and offline (print magazines, executive roundtables, white papers) media products
-Experience in business case development
-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PPT.
-Familiarity with digital and social media tools (i.e., web analytics, social networking sites, etc.)
