Using discretion and judgment, directs and performs client service functions for a dedicated group of institutional, sub-advisory and retail home office clients by developing relationships with clients and providing value added services. Works together with the Relationship Managers and other areas of MFS to service clients and ensure strong team communication on relevant matters. Takes the lead as the client's liaison for administrative and operational matters by initiating, developing and maintaining organizational structure/systems/processes to ensure that client needs are met on a consistently, accurately and in a timely fashion.
Point of contact for a dedicated group of Institutional, Sub Advisory and Retail Home Office clients handling administrative and operational matters. Work directly with clients and internal divisions regarding: cash flow notification, portfolio rebalancing, in-kind transition coordination, reporting requirements, compliance certifications, contract amendments, guideline changes, directed brokerage requests, compliance matters, and operational details. Service clients, including coordinating with the following divisions: Relationship Management, Legal, Portfolio and Distribution Compliance, Investment Support, Operations, Client Reporting, Marketing Operations and Finance.
Lead and support the successful resolution of all operational issues identified by the clients, their consultant or custodian bank, as well as, internally assessed challenges.
Participate in the review of client contracts during the transition process. Document all new requirements and procedures within the department protocol and escalate areas of concern or those thought to be challenging.
Ensure timely, clear and concise communication of client information to make certain MFS can meet their unique requirements.
Partner with Relationship Managers to prepare for client meetings including providing a status of relationship and update on completed and ongoing matters; lead the effort to prepare and finalize portfolio review materials. May participate in meetings at MFS or at client sites as appropriate.
Act as single point of contact for certain clients invested in commingled products including VIT, MF, PPM, Institutional Trust, and CITs. Oversee the services provided by MFS including providing white papers and quarterly investment commentary, updating the CRM system with all touchpoints and attending client meetings.
Maintain client records, correspondence and all department databases.
Ensure work meets department standards and initiate procedures to improve processes and overall quality control.
Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
Bachelors' degree, MBA or CFA preferred.
Minimum of five years investment industry related experience;
Exceptional organization skills; ability to work independently and as a team player.
Strong attention to detail, and commitment to the highest quality standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication, proven project management, and analytical skills. Ability to work well with individuals at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work effectively and show adaptability to changing internal priorities and client demands.
Thorough knowledge of relevant PC programs. Ability and willingness to learn new programs as needed.
Position requires FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations in accordance with MFS' licensing policy.
