Responsible for initial evaluation, re-evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, reporting and documentation of all referred patients within departmental and professional standards. Also, in a coordination position, is instrumental in affecting day-to-day operations at the Outpatient Center in coordination with the Clinic Manager. Coordinates effective short-term scheduling and team member coverage in communication with the Clinic Manager who has final authority. Individual is responsible to work with the Clinic Manager to promote proper and efficient utilization of quality services. Participates in program development, expansion and improvement with the Clinic Manager and other team members. Helps develop and maintain systems to increase referrals and to communicate with physicians, insurers and external case managers.
Assists in new team member, student and volunteer orientation.
Functions as a role model through demonstration of professional conduct and ethical standards of practice and DEVELOPMENT: Assures compliance with NRH Network and clinic policies and procedures for all disciplines.
In collaboration with and under the direction of the Director facilitates active team member participation in setting individual goals and promotion of professional growth and development.
In collaboration with and under the direction of the Director ongoing feedback to team members regarding observed performance and talents to facilitate goal achievement and completes performance appraisals on a timely basis.
Participates in development and implementation of goals and objectives for the program area and clinic. Promotes meeting goal within specified time frames.
Serves as a resource to the clinical employees throughout the Outpatient Network in area of expertise.
Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency in areas of interest.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational or Physical therapy. Graduate of an accredited school of occupational or physical therapy.
Three to five years clinical experience in an outpatient therapy setting preferred. Professional competency as a general practitioner in occupational or physical therapy. Program development experience preferred.
Maryland or DC Licensure or as deemed necessary for your locations.
