The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine is recruiting a clinical or tenure-track surgeon to join the Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy. The academic rank will be consistent upon the career stage and development of the candidate. This new physician would join a group of seven vascular surgeons with an international reputation of excellence in patient care and an established track-record of NIH and industry funded research. Applicants should be BE/BC in Vascular Surgery and have competence in both open and endovascular techniques. Clinical responsibilities for the position will be predominately at the Malcom Randal VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. The Division has a long-standing commitment to both Resident and Fellow education and it is anticipated that the new surgeon will be involved in this effort. In addition, applicants will be provided dedicated time to pursue academic interests. The Division of Vascular Surgery has established a tradition of excellence in basic, translational and clinical research. Faculty within the Division pride themselves on the importance of mentoring and maintaining the infrastructure for high-quality research. Junior faculty joining the practice have been highly successful in obtaining national, peer-reviewed funding.
