The Clinical Consultant provides clinical services and delivers program support functions directly to eligible employee assistance program (EAP) clients and program participants. This position also provides support for supervisors at EAP companies through consultation, coaching, assessment and referral regarding difficult employee situations.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with at least two years of post-masters clinical experience
Training and experience providing individual, couples and family counseling
Training and/or experience in drug and alcohol assessment
Knowledge of community resources for suicide, stress management, aging, mental and emotional health
Good diagnostic skills and skills in crisis intervention
Must maintain and submit all of the required documents and comply with all aspects of the Vehicle Safety and Usage Policy.
Counseling experience in EAP environment
Bilingual in Spanish
Provide short-term solution-focused assessment, counseling and referral services to eligible EAP clients
Conduct initial evaluations, accurately diagnoses as necessary, develops a plan of action with the employee and/or his/her dependents which may include referrals to clinical and/or community resources
Consult with company representatives (supervisors, union representatives, company nurses, and HR personnel) regarding intervention strategies for impaired employees
Provide crisis counseling and assessment/evaluation for clients requesting these services (may be provided in person or via telephone)
Deliver onsite crisis/critical incident services
Conduct telephone intake assessments for purpose of scheduling appointments for clients
Provide EAP clinic telephone coverage and back-up support as needed
Rotating on call responsibility in accordance with program's on call schedule
Document client, and client-company related information in a timely manner and maintains confidential client records according to agency policy and standards
Develop and present effective training programs for a wide variety of audiences to address client company needs
Promote the EAP program with existing client companies through employee orientations, supervisory referral trainings and participation in benefit fairs
Perform other duties as required
Be willing and able to grow professionally. This includes the willingness to participate fully in clinical and supervisory supervision and receive feedback from supervisors and colleagues
Work in concert with other clinical and administrative staff on ways to improve efficiency and delivery of services
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Utilize Agency phone and email systems following standard customer services protocol. This includes: answering the telephone in a timely and professional manner, directing calls appropriately and returning phone and email requests promptly. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills. Also demonstrate knowledge of agency programs and services.
Maintain positive working relationships with program staff and others within the agency. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills during interactions with internal and external customers
Models and practices sensitivity, fair treatment and acceptance of diversity in all interpersonal interactions
Shows willingness to learn about and implement skills related to diversity

Ability to stand and walk in order to reach file cabinets, shelves, etc.
Ability to lift and carry packages, etc. up to 10 lbs.
