Clinical Content Development Contractor

Reports to: VP of Product Marketing

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina

Job Summary

Brightree and CareAnyware, two of the fastest growing Internet-based business management solution in the Home Medical Equipment market and Home Healthcare markets, is seeking a contractor to provide documentation services on a local Clinical Content Development project. This assignment, documenting against the care plan, is expected to run from April to August 2013.

Primary Duties
  • Define requirements and design of system care plan content and clinical documentation content according to current clinical practice standards.
  • Integrate knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, and regulations into informatics practice.
  • Translate customer requests into software application solution specifications, appropriate to assigned tasks.
Basic Qualifications
  • A clinical degree as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Strong design and requirements experience
  • Strong analytical, planning written and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed to work within a team and/or work independently
  • Prior experience in home health and/or hospice care fields
  • Working knowledge of CMS, TJC, HIPAA, federal and state regulations that relate to home health/hospice and electronic health records.
  • An understanding of the benefits of information systems that extends beyond the technology to the improvement and re-engineering of clinical processes
  • Knowledge of evidence-based clinical content
Preferred Qualifications
  • A clinical degree as a Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Previous informatics experience desirable.
  • Previous clinical and administrative systems implementation and project management experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of other software systems a plus
