Advertised Summary Job Description

The Clinical Coordinator will assume responsibility for the assessment for patients of the Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. The incumbent will be part of a team environment and function under the collaborative practice agreement for delegated medical aspects of care with collaborating physicians (s). They should demonstrate a personal commitment to outstanding customer service. Principle responsibilities include: conduct all intake/new appointments and triage patients to appropriate MFM physicians, conduct postpartum visits, conduct all urgent and walk-in patient appointments, provide general gynecologic care to patients between pregnancies, assist providers as necessary with issues requiring clinical follow up, work with practice's RN to educate patients on clinical issues, coordinate care and transfer for Maternal Medicine patients with referring physicians, assist in the development of protocols, policies, and procedures, participate in nursing/ health related research and to become familiar with the billing/compliance practices. The nurse practitioner may be asked to cover other NPs in the Division who are located at different sites. All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience.

Current Licensed nurse practitioner in the state of new York and experience in obstetrics
