Every day, Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) connects clinical research professionals with opportunities to advance their careers. We currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a Clinical Database Specialist working with our client based in Jacksonville, FL.

Summary:
This position is responsible to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the clinical research data and perform clinical data research across the entire research system as a member of the Data Management Team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented database specialist who is able to assist in the implementation and support of a relational database used in clinical research studies. This position will assist in the design, development, validation, implementation and ongoing support of the electronic systems, tools and programs used by the clinical research team. This person will be responsible for the development, peer review and maintenance of database systems and tools to support Clinical Research activities by providing content expertise for programming activities from clinical study startup through the statistical analysis stage of clinical studies and will assist with the integration, aggregation and delivery of clinical study data. In addition, this role will participate in the identification, evaluation, recommendation, implementation, and management of clinical information technology solutions to support clinical study database activities. It is expected that the database specialist will maintain an understanding of Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium CDISC standards, terminology and models, as well as, ensure work activities are in compliance with internal policies and procedures, all relevant regulatory requirements, CFR, GCP, ICH, PhARMA, and other international guidelines. Other activities, special projects and assignments may be given as required.

Job Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
Supports the regular loading of clinical data within targeted timelines.
Supports quality control measures in conjunction with Clinical Data Management CDM, Biostatistics, and other cross-functional groups.
Works to meet specific project, program and departmental goals.
Completes database setup and validation programming within targeted timelines.
Contributes to solutions for routine technical problems of limited scope aligned with specific technical activities and individual and departmental goals.

Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree and some related experience.
Clinical Data Management experience is preferred.
Experience with Electronic Data Capture EDC software.
Requires knowledge of the systems development life cycle, relational databases and clinical trials database design, development and maintenance, as well as knowledge of all ancillary clinical systems and processes used across medical development.
Experience with Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium CDISC Study Data Tabulation Model SDTM and Analysis Data Model ADaM.
Proficient in Structured Querying Language SQL in a SQL Server 2008 environment.
Experience in SQL Server Integration Services SSIS.
Proven critical-thinking skills and demonstrated ability to manage large biological and/or clinical data sets.
Requires excellent communication skills, analytical ability, judgment and the ability to work effectively with clients.
