The Clinical Dietician position involves a willingness to plan, organize, direct and evaluate all phases of patient nutritional care. This includes patient diet therapy and education. The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to educate other personnel.
The Clinical Dietitian provides quality nutritional care to patients including the development, implementation and monitoring of Medical Nutrition Therapies. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, patient care rounds, and quality improvement activities. Works collaboratively with the medical staff and food service department to ensure the patients’ nutrition care plans are implemented and departmental standards are maintained. Provides nutrition education to patients, families and staff when needs are identified. Follows standards of practice and complies with the regulatory requirements established for Registered Dietitians.
Bachelor's degree with major studies in food and nutrition required.
Current state licensure and current registration by the Commission on Dietetics Registration.
Must be a registered member of the American Dietetic Association
At least one (1) year of work experience in a hospital setting with clinical responsibilities or equivalent.
