Works under the direction of the Clinical Nutrition Supervisor. Plans and provides nutritional care to patients by interpreting and adapting physician prescribed diets to individual needs and preferences and counsels patients about their food requirements, eating habits, and the essentials of nutrition. Participates in outpatient and community nutrition-related services as assigned. Special skills required include age-related knowledge of nutritional needs, effective oral and written communication, and an understanding of food service management, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective interaction with all levels of employees.
Recent hospital experience and/or previous clinical practice experience. 3 years clinical management experience preferred.
