Job Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs routine and complex laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established procedures and quality control guidelines.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in Medical Technology or related field of life science with Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
License/Certification: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license required, ASCP certification preferred.
Experience: Experience in Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank and/or Microbiology, along with Pre-Analystical Section is preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Basic skills of computer operation is required. Must be flexible to work on weekends as per the Clinical Laboratory needs. Must have good interpersonal relation skills and high standards of customer service.

Employment in the Transfusion Medicine Laboratory requires Fingerprinting and FBI Clearance for “Unescorted Access to Radioactive Material in Quantities of concern” by the State of California, California Department of Public Health and the US Nuclear regulatory Commission pursuant to section 274b and section 149 of the Atomic Energy Act and the California Code of Regulations, tittle17 section 30205(a) as ordered by the California Department of Public Health June 5, 2008.

Rep Use of UE: Up to 8 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 25 lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
