Leads the development of strategies and tools to advance clinical performance in the Cardiovascular Clinical Service Group at the corporate office supporting the HCA enterprise. Assures appropriate alignment of evidence based improvement, growth, compliance, and technology advances within the Cardiovascular Clinical Services Group. The Cardiovascular Information Systems Clinical Manager provides clinical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of current and planned CVIS applications, services, and related technologies within HCA. This position is responsible for providing clinical input to IT leadership coordinating multi-site refreshes, new system implementations, consolidation/standardization and operational support of Cardiovascular Imaging systems.
The primary point for clinical contact for internal and external business sponsors and facility project team.
Works with IT Cardiovascular Imaging System coordinator as the clinical workflow specialist.
Works with product/service leaders to ensure timing, resourcing and sequencing of work to meet customer operational needs.
Develops area goals, establishes work priorities, and administers financials related to the area.
Clinical contact must create and manage business/technical relationships with facilities, internal business stakeholders, internal IT&S relationships, and implementation-related vendors. Facilitates relationship between IT&S and division/market staff. Primary CVIS clinical contact for clinicians.
Applies performance improvement principles to cardiovascular programs and initiatives.
Routinely monitors process, structure, and outcomes of care for cardiovascular services with ability to compare and analyze with national benchmarking.
Maintains current knowledge of emerging cardiovascular research and clinical technologies within area of expertise.
Participates in HCA cardiovascular clinical council activities.
Monitor project activities and reports on status.
Represent the best interests of HCA while performing all aspects of vendor management.
Work autonomously to achieve goals as defined by management.
College graduate required with 3-5 years clinical experience in radiology or cardiology. Direct Imaging Systems implementation/operation experience in Rad or CV PACS. Project management experience including development and execution. Establishing and strengthening executive and senior management relationships. Relevant cardiovascular clinical experience in an applicable practice setting is preferred. Cardiac catherization lab/non-invasive cardiac testing /or interventional radiology experience preferred. Previous experience with Radiology or CV PACS new installation desired. Demonstrates a solid understanding of cardiovascular clinical imaging systems, business, and/or technical processes and implemented IT solutions. Experience in conflict resolution
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization. Ability to manage a large number of tasks simultaneously. Previous experience with clinical performance improvement and change management initiatives required.
