In collaboration with the CO Business Operations Lead, provide operational and financial support for business-related processes for Therapeutic Areas. Provide support for operational activities to ensure that work flow and processes are efficient and compliant with internal SOPs and external guidelines. Provide support for all activities relating to financial planning, budget development, Expectation, Preview, Outlook and Five-Year Strategic Plans. Monitor all Therapeutic Area expenses including both operational and project-related. Interface with external consultants/vendors/CROs to ensure timely departmental compliance with key BIPI databases/tracking systems to ensure targets are met.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide operational and financial support to business partners to achieve flexible spending environment.

Participate in monthly meetings with CO Business Operations Lead as well as CO Medical Controlling to assess current project activity status in order to determine adherence to projected financial targets.

Provide financial support to CO Core teams for the OPTIMA Process. Assist CO Operations Lead to ensure alignment between BIPI Controlling and Therapeutic areas to achieve overall business objectives & financial targets.

Provide financial support to business partners. Review and analyze monthly expenditures. Prepare and issue appropriate reporting to assist CO Business Operations Lead with expense analysis to ensure project deliverables and financial targets are met.

Assist CO Business Operations Lead in providing ongoing assessments to Controlling regarding potential shifts in financial targets. Adjust overall project budget to maintain flexible spending environment while adhering to short-term and long-term forecasts. Provide recommendations to CO Business Operation Lead regarding opportunities to increase cost flexibility and achieve financial stewardship.

Assist CO Business Operation Lead to ensure operational and financial integrity of data for all planning cycles (LTF I/II & IMC I-IV) within systems used (SAP, COMET, CTMS, Journyx).

Assist Business Operations Lead in developing quality management systems and process enhancements relating to various work flow and financial tracking across CO. Assist in educating and communicating with key stakeholders regarding process improvement opportunities. Assist in standardizing best practices for both internal/external partners to achieve integration and alignment.

Assist Business Operations Lead with the management of CROs/Vendors/Agencies regarding SOW adherence and budgeting processes including communicating invoice requirements, ensuring integrity of supporting documentation, and ensuring adherence to time lines and payment schedules. Monitor contract deliverables to ensure payments are executed according to corporate guidelines.

Liaison with Legal, Strategic Sourcing, and external business partners regarding Vendor/CRO contracts in order to ensure compliance.

Bachelor Degree in Management or Finance with 7+ years business-related experience

Experience in Pharmaceutical industry with responsibilities in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs functions required

Strong project management, organizational, and customer service skills required

Solid understanding of and experience with financial business processes: Budgeting/Planning, Financial Reporting

Knowledge of headquarters organization and BI processes are highly desirable

Strong leadership, problem solving, communication, interpersonal skills and ability to independently deal with multiple priorities in an environment where parameters change daily.

Ability to evaluate key business issues and provide input to business partners

High degree of initiative, accountability, ability to think critically and analytically, and attention to detail is required

Very strong Analytical and Computer skills

1 to 3 years of leadership experience

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
