The Clinical Project Specialist supports the Medical Management Department in new program development planning, planning enhancements of existing programs, managing external relationships, and coordinating complex departmental activities.



- Bachelor’s degree

- 4-5 years healthcare experience

- Clinical experience

- Experience in managing quality improvement projects

- Quantitative and analytic capability

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Computer literacy with windows based programs

- Computer literacy with case management/predictive modeling software a plus

- Strong organizational and documentation skills

- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong process orientation

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Effective oral and written communication skills


- Master’s degree

- Registered nurse

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Develops comprehensive project plans including delineated project tasks, and resource requirements

- Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path

- Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

- T racks project milestones and deliverables

- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations to appropriate manager

- Coordinates multiple simultaneous projects and initiatives

- Development of proactive solutions for project challenges

- Assembles project teams and ensures that schedules and standards are communicated and met

- Evaluates outcomes and prepare evaluative reports

- Participates in developing department program descriptions and program evaluations

- Performs research on specialized areas as needed

- Coordinates departmental quality improvement projects, as assigned

- Coordinates and oversees the collection of data and production of reports needed to meet the requirements of the product or program and satisfy Neighborhood policies and procedures as well as any regulatory, accreditation, or legal obligations

- Develops overall program monitoring and evaluation plan that includes but is not limited to: identification, analysis, and evaluation of key program metrics

- Facilitates ongoing improvement cycles to continuously improve performance of the programs

- Develops and reviews any existing department policies and procedures in support of overall departmental operations and management of the programs

- Other duties as assigned
