Clinical Psychologist
Medical Home Port
Naval Health Clinic (NHC) Annapolis, MD

Clinical Psychological service in the Primary Care Clinic and the Brigade Medical Unit for the Medical Home Port program at Naval Health Clinic, Annapolis, MD. The healthcare workers (HCWs) providing service under this will be supporting the Navy’s Medical Home Port program. The objective of this program is to enhance continuity, wellness and disease management for the patients.

Qualifications

Possess a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited university.

Possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted license or certification to practice as a psychologist in any one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Have experience as a Psychologist of at least two years within the preceding 36 months.

Have experience as a Psychologist of at least 2 years within the preceding 36 months and some familiarity with health psychology and embedded primary care psychology.

Staffing and scheduling.

The HCWs shall normally provide services in the Primary Care Clinic Monday through Friday between the hours of 0700-1830 and in the Brigade Medical Unit Monday through Friday between the hours of 0630-2100 for a period of 8.5 or 9 hours (which includes an uncompensated 30 minutes to 1 hour for lunch depending on shift length). The HCWs shall provide services for approximately 40 hours per week, except during periods of approved leave. In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services (scheduled shifts plus leave and holidays) in excess of 80 hours per two-week period. Work hours may be modified based on the needs of the assigned area. The specific schedule for each two-week period will be scheduled one month in advance by the Supervisor or designated Government representative.

The HCWs shall accrue 10 hours of personal leave for each two-week/80 hour period of services provided (on-site services plus approved leave and holidays.
