The Office of Research Administration (ORA) is a division within the Office of Finance & Treasury. It is a centralized clinical research support service that provides contract review and negotiation, project budgeting, Medicare coverage analysis (aka billing grids), document coordination and management of administrative linkages with UM research affiliates. We perform these activities for clinical research studies, ensuring that stakeholders have what they need to support the compliant execution of projects, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. The ORA office has an immediate opening for a CRIS Specialist on the Operations Team, reporting to the Director of ORA. This position is principally charged with ensuring that the submission of application packets for new and amended research administration projects are handled timely, complete, assigned to the appropriate internal team, reviewed/entered into the appropriate database, scanned and properly routed.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related with one year experience required. Excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and strong oral and written English language communication skills required. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast paced environment. Strong time-management skills. Excellent data entry skills. Proficiency using MS Office products. Experience with clinical research in academic or hospital setting preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education and/or work experience will be considered. Position #036386
