Establishes the direction for the various departments and groups under his or her control, aligns department and group activities with the BBAHC strategic plan, integrates department and group activities with other BBAHC areas and activities, and exercises initiative in planning for growth and development of the departments.
Bachelors Degree in business, community health, health services administration, or clinical service; Masters Degree preferred.
Minimum of three years administrative level experience in hospital, community health, or health services operations.
Experience should demonstrate use of most of the skills required for this position and in accomplishing the tasks and duties assigned.
Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and initiative in performing tasks and activities required for the effective functioning of community health operations.
Ability to provide leadership for staff in community health operations; ability to work cooperatively with departmental provider and support staff, management and administration, and the community; capacity to enjoy varied work assignments and to work with minimal supervision and direction.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Able to carry out diverse tasks concurrently and to efficiently organize work load; ability to foster cooperation, enthusiasm and commitment from departmental staff; exceptional analytical and conceptual skills; and capacity to maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policies.
Prepares strategic plans for clinical services operations with involved departments.
Coordinates collection, analyzes and report preparation of management statistical information and data, clinical studies and external reporting for leadership of the Corporation
Coordinate services with other departments.
Participate in evaluation and planning activities for services and facilities.
Develops divisional budget submissions to align with the BBAHC strategy map.
Oversees grant management to ensure department managers meet grant requirements, appropriately expend grant funds, and timely submit interim and final grant reports.
Mentors, coaches, and counsels staff to develop excellent contribution to the BBAHC mission and assist in understanding the individual’s role in the strategic plan. Fully documents staff issues. Resolves staff issues at the lowest level possible. Keeps supervisor aware of staff issues. Develops and timely submits annual staff performance evaluations aligned to the BBAHC strategy map.
Maintains full compliance with the laws, regulations, grant terms, and BBAHC policies pertinent to the division/department. Ensures division/department activities meet all applicable accrediting body standards and CMS Conditions of Participation. Actively avoids fraud, waste, and abuse. Seeks methods and activities to enhance BBAHC revenues.
Directs divisional Performance Improvement initiatives. Tracks and reports accomplishments. Develops and oversees Quality Calendar activities.
Responds to all Customer Comments and/or RMEs presented in a complete and timely manner.
Ensures department procedures align with and support organizational policies.
Other duties as assigned.
