La Salle School is a multi-faceted human services agency. A talented and dedicated staff of more than 200 work with a daily enrollment of 175 adolescents and their families, with a full continuum of residential services accompanied with a growing variety of community based services.
Our programs are fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation, a highly regarded independent national accrediting body for organizations in child welfare. Due to our expanded service programs, La Salle’s clinic is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Social Worker to provide counseling/case management services to at-risk adolescent males and their families.
Qualifications Required:
Masters Degree in Social Work
Engaged in professional development leading to appropriate credentialing
Experience in child welfare services and/or human services
Valid NY State Drivers License Ability to travel throughout assigned area to family homes
Qualifications Desired:
LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC
Knowledge of child welfare services, foster care, and community based services Experience working with at risk JD/PINS adolescents and their families, providing family counseling, support services and linkages to natural and community based supports. Experience working with a treatment based service system. Knowledge of NYS OCFS Connections electronic record system
Overview of Position:
Provides individual, family and group counseling services to residential students and their families. Provides case management services as appropriate and functions as the primary treatment coordinator for residential cases. Coordinates treatment services with other clinical staff and members of our multi-disciplinary treatment team.
General Responsibilities/Duties: Provides counseling services to students and families Responsible for the case management and record keeping within the assigned division or case. Coordination of services with other service providers within the agency (such as OASAS or JSVOP) Completes all FASP’s and other paper work in a timely manner and submits them to the county within the required time frame. Works with the registrar=s office to obtain the Case Initiation Date and to maintain the FASP schedule. Protects the confidentiality of the client. Knowledge of and adherence to the code of ethics and standards applicable to the individuals credential and work duties as maintained and published by the National Association of Social Workers.
