The Clinical Specialist duties include establishing, coordinating, enhancing, and maintaining on-going clinical services and supports to individuals diagnosed with mental and behavioral health challenges. The Clinical Specialist will be responsible for pairing treatment modalities and interventions with diagnostic categories to help achieve the most effective outcomes for the PIRs. All activities of the services provided are governed by Recovery Principles and aimed towards increasing the potential of the participants. Training and implementation of evidence- based practices will be expected in order to provide a consistent, solid and individualized service for the individuals served through the program.

Essential Duties: §

Assures compliance of RHD ’ s corporate values, and all other the regulatory mandates §

Coordinates treatment and services for PIRs §

Introduces, trains, and monitors the clinical work performance of clinical personnel and enhances job knowledge and skills of all employees. §

Conducts team meetings with supports (including inpatient, outpatient, case managers, Peer, daytime activity supports, and natural supports), Program Managers, and staff to establish and maintain recovery oriented and person-centered continuity of care. §

Maintains on-going communication with all stakeholders: HUB, funder, external team members §

Allows for and promotes the creativity and empowerment of PIRs and staff §

Has awareness and can provide a clear description of PIRs ’ hopes, dreams, goals, and challenges §

Trains, mentors, and supports PIRs in their on-going development. §

Trains and coordinates Recovery Goal Planning between PIRs, DSPs, and PIRs ’ supports

Knowledge/Skills §

Knowledge of Psych Rehab and Peer Specialist services preferred §

Systems oriented – ability to manage many different components of similar services §

Understanding and utilization of the following treatment Models:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, WRAP, Stages of Development §

Ability to communicate through writing and verbal exchange. §

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites §

Ability to manage professional relationships §

Ability to work in a multi-faceted fast paced environment §

Ability to travel independently throughout the community §

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed

Education/Experience §

Master Degree in Social Work or related field, LCSW or other clinical license preferred §

CPRP certification preferred §

At least 5 years supervisory experience §

Experience with Mental Health Residential and Mental Health Case Management §

Experience with fiscal oversight and Fee-For-Service service provision §

Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health Recovery §

Valid PA Driver ’ s License and personal transportation
