Medical Care Development (MCD), Inc., a Maine based health services organization, is seeking a talented professional to serve as a Clinical Supervisor for our mental health services division. MCD is a nonprofit agency serving the elderly and adults with mental health challenges and other disabilities. The primary location for this full-time leadership position will be dependent on the candidate. Travel to various sites within Maine is required on a regular basis. Regular rotation providing after hours on-call supervision of organization wide clinical services is required.
The Clinical Supervisor assists MCD’s 7 mental health group homes and 45 residents by ensuring the delivery of quality services to residents and all aspects of resident care in collaboration with facility management. This position does not directly supervise or have management responsibilities for direct care staff. The Clinical Supervisor meets monthly with staff and provides clinical supervision, feedback, identifies and resolves barriers that hinder effective resident care and increases technical knowledge and skills. The Clinical Supervisor works closely with DHHS leaders and other providers to help facilitate client referrals and community resources and is responsible for coordinating the intake and discharge of all residents.
This position originates and implements quality improvement programming that aligns with state performance measures, meets MCD standards and DHHS licensing regulations. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for conducting annual assessments and has oversight for all service plan development and productivity outcomes. This position insures that clinical records are accurate and helps identify and develop staff training and in-service programs to maintain contract and regulatory requirements. The Clinical Supervisor develops and oversees crisis intervention plans and provides assistance and support to staff and clients in the event of a crisis situation. Strong organizational, written and interpersonal communication as well as management skills is essential. Detailed knowledge of current Microsoft Office software programs is necessary.
The successful candidate will be an energetic self-starter able to function comfortably both in a team environment and work independently as needed and able to relate well to co-workers and management. This position requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and multiple tasks with varying deadlines and little supervision.
The salary range for this position is between $55,000 - $70,000 depending on credentials and experience. - State of Maine licensed Psychologist or a;
- State of Maine licensed Registered Nurse who is certified as a clinical specialist in adult psychiatric and mental health nursing or a;
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree.
- 4 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary mental health setting including at least two years experience in clinical supervision and/or administration is also required.
