MHA is looking for a licensed clinician to serve as the agency Clinical Supervisor (CS). The CS oversees and ensures the provision of clinical services to formerly homeless individuals with mental illness living independently or in agency-owned supportive housing. The CS ensures that assessments and treatment plans effectively serve client needs. The CS supports the case managers and program supervisors, giving ongoing clinical feedback and specific support during crisis interventions. The CS may also lead support groups at our different sites. Assessments and Treatment Plans. The Clinical Supervisor conducts mental health assessments of clients in a timely and accurate manner. Working directly with clients and staff in the development of client treatment plans and supporting documentation, the CS ensures that all treatment plans are completed, signed, entered, and filed on time. The CS verifies that treatment plans meet Medi-Cal guidelines for quality assurance and meet San Mateo County standards of care. The CS regularly re-evaluates client needs and treatment plans in consultation with case managers. Clinical Supervision. The Clinical Supervisor supports case managers as they help clients achieve their goals. The CS works with the entire treatment team to help case managers develop intervention strategies. The CS works with case managers to determine the best course of action in instances of crisis intervention. The CS also supervises graduate students and interns. Group work. The Clinical Supervisor assesses the need for support groups at each site and may lead ongoing groups, assesses their effectiveness, and adapt them accordingly. Qualifications. MHA requires an LCSW, LMFT, or related licensure. The ideal candidate has prior experience working with people with psychiatric disabilities and with individuals who are or have been homeless. Requirements also include at least one year of experience developing client assessments and treatment plans, and experience with MediCal documentation. We’re also looking for strong verbal and written skills; solid supervisory skills; and flexibility and experience working as part of a team. The job involves driving, so we require that you have a car, a good driving record, and proof of insurance. Being bilingual is a plus.
