As our Clinical Support Specialist you would oversee Comprehensive Behavioral Health Assessment services and provide therapeutic and mental health services 24 hours-a-day to support the team leaders in our family home program. You will assist in the selection of contracted therapists, help develop individual service plans for female youth aged 11-18, plus develop and monitor new procedures for counseling and service planning. This position is located in Queens in our Intervention and Assessment Home and reports directly to the Residential Program Director.
To be considered for this unique opportunity you will need:
Master’s degree or above in social work, psychology or appropriate field
Two years’ experience working with youth and families
Knowledge of consultation, training, evaluation or administration acquired from hands on experience
Be able to provide on-call 24/7 for clinical and crisis management
Assist with screening youth referrals and admissions
Assist with annual staff training of clinical updates as related to state regulatory compliance and treatment planning
Proved individual, group and family counseling as requested
A licensed and certified mental health practitioner in the state of New York
Able to complete descriptive comprehensive summaries and youth reports
Knowledge of the Juvenile Justice System a plus
Ability to utilize community resources for youth referrals
