Responsibilities:
We are looking for an engineer who can code and a developer who thinks systems. We've built an ad analytics platform and scaled it to over 4 billion requests per day. We're hosted in the cloud and almost all systems work requires API calls to storage services, load balancers, server instances, CDNs, firewalls, etc. Your Linux systems and networking knowledge must be fundamentally strong; plus you'll need Ruby and Python coding skills.

You will work closely with developers to spin up new web architectures, starting with single-server prototypes and move quickly to fully scalable production services. Automation is everything.

Experience:
Strong Linux OS and networking skills

Strong scripting skills in Ruby, Python, Perl, Bash

Desire to understand every detail

Systems automation skills (especially with Chef, Puppet, Capistrano)

Bonus Points:
Show us what you've done by including a portfolio, code samples, architectural diagrams, etc

Experience is a big plus, but intelligence and motivation are the most important

Familiar with AWS services
