CLUBHOUSE & CONCESSIONS MANAGER

DUTIES : Under the general direction, manage and administer equipment and commodity resources of nine golf course clubhouse operations and 39 locations that serve food and beverage; responsible for the cash handling and accountability of over $2.6 million in golf revenue and over $1.6 million in food and beverage revenue; maintain, program, monitor supply inventory, and support cash registers and credit card machines for the entire Parks department that has expenditures and a commodity budget of over $500,000; hiring, training, discipline, promotion, termination and development of approximately 125 seasonal employees and one Park Unit Coordinator – Concessions; management of a staff labor budget of over $750,000; responsible for all food and beverage computer hardware, point of sale software, software upgrades and hardware maintenance; and to perform other duties as may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
EXPERIENCE : Three (3) years of experience in food and beverage and/or golf course services in a multi-facility setting, (2) years of which must be in a supervisory capacity required. Possession of a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License required at time of appointment and maintained during incumbency. Preferred qualifications: knowledge and experience with managing resources, assets, liabilities, expenditures, disbursements, revenue, labor, staff, equipment and inventory that is associated with the daily operations of multiple facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES : Knowledge of state and local health codes; knowledge of cash handling procedures; knowledge of labor regulations; ability to manage multiple facilities at one time; ability to develop and enhance business development opportunities; ability to follow a budget and track expenditures; oral and written communication skills; leadership and supervisory skills; problem solving skills; ability to use a personal computer; ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others.
EDUCATION : Possession of an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Tourism, Golf Services, Turf Management, Culinary or related field or a Bachelor’s Degree in any field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation, Business Management, Finance, Hospitality, or Food and Beverage preferred. Possession of a State of Wisconsin Food Manager Certification (ServSafe Certification) required within six months of hire.
