We have a ground floor opportunity for a leader to be a part of this startup and help grow the engineering and operations team to support our rapid sales growth. The Director of Engineering and Technology Operations is responsible for driving the infrastructure strategy, product development, operational processes as well as initiatives that assure customer satisfaction around ease of doing business practices with Treatspace. This position is responsible for the Treatspace day-to-day engineering and operating activities, including:
  • Technology: implementation of technology, and planning for risk and growth
  • Operations: automating manual activities
  • Customer service: provision of service for customers before, during and after a purchase
  • Product: planning, forecasting, and marketing products at all stages of the lifecycle

What we're looking for:

The Director of Operations is responsible for driving the infrastructure strategy, business processes, reporting and analytics for all company programs and initiatives that assure customer satisfaction around ease of doing business practices with Treatspace. The Director of Operations reports to the chief executive officer and is responsible for the Treatspace day-to-day operating activities, including:
  • Technology: implementation of technology, and planning for risk and growth
  • Operations: automating manaul activities
  • Customer service: provision of service for customers before, during and after a purchase
  • Product: planning, forecasting, and marketing products at all stages of the lifecycle
  • Sales: team management and forecasting revenue and sales growth
  • Marketing: communicating the value of products and services to customers
  • Accounting: expense, cost and margin control
  • Finance: monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management
  • Development: preparation, implementation and management of growth opportunities
Responsibilities
  • Direct company operations to meet budget and other financial goals.
  • Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
  • Establish the performance goals, allocate resources, and assess policies for senior management.
  • Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.
  • Direct and participate in acquisition and growth activities to support overall business objectives and plans.
  • Participate in capital market development, including participation in road shows, bank meetings, analyst meetings, and more.
  • Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
  • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
  • At least 5 years of experience, with some leadership, such as manager or director.
  • Very strong online research skills and/or drive
  • Familiarity with Internet businesses that can troubleshoot our needs
  • Proficiency in Google Docs/Drive (Document, Spreadsheet, Presentation, Draw)
  • Ability to work in diverse teams; manage time and workload effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, but able to take directions well
  • Good organizational skills, demonstrated initiative, flexibility and creativity
  • Understanding of healthcare industry is preferred; passion is even better
Organizational Relationships
  • Reports to the CEO, working relationships with the entire company
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Masters in Business preferred
  • Experience in working in a diverse and fast-paced startup environment
  • Preferred Software as a Service development or leadership experience
Compensation
  • Equity-based compensation until seed funding is raised, expected mid to late summer.
